The Founder & Managing Director, Khalid Al-Khames
Born in 1987, Khalid Al-Khames was brought up by two loving parents that would often go without to ensure he did not have too. Unfortunately, divorce meant Khalid had to split his time between two homes. The negative impact was turned into a positive as Khalid was able to witness two fantastic individuals, his mother and father, rebuild their lives and provide the driving force for the success of Ethan Hardy Limited.
Aged 16, Khalid attended Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and graduated with a BSc in Combined Studies, specialising in Marketing and Management. He combined the theory learnt at University with his knowledge of website design to continue building internet solutions for local businesses.
During the summer holidays of 2007, Khalid was working as a door steward in the evenings, whilst spending countless hours at his computer. That year provided a major turning point for Khalid as he was supposed to find a second job, but managed to monetize websites he built and began earning a small income online.
Khalid quickly realised the power of the internet for businesses and spent the summer making money through trial-and-error. Two years later, after endlessly building, monetizing and selling multiple web applications on a part time basis, Khalid decided to form Ethan Hardy Limited as the starting point for a new journey – becoming a full time entrepreneur.
